Adventures of a Snake & Wolf

with Jeremy Glenn & Dylan Jones

Whoa nelly! – Another month down already?!

You know that if a month disappears this quickly it’s got to have been a good one, and it definitely has been on all fronts! In the studio and on the road we've been going full steam ahead- big inroads being made to finishing the debut Crushington album, remixed six60's - Don't forget your roots (out now on iTunes) and got underway on many a new tune.

So it's the week after the Nightcap tour, we've journeyed the length and breadth of the country in the colourful company of one Dubstep DJ (16bit), two electro DJ’s (Lightyear), one MC (Lowqui) and the fantabulous turntabalist supreme (Alphabethead). We ate, drank, shared life stories and spent a lot of time bonding in really small vehicles.

Between Queenstown and Auckland we managed to fit in six shows in five days, without too many major casualties. As with every tour people end up filling in certain positions within the group, the stand out was definitely 16bit; who ended up being that guy that we would all find ourselves waiting for in the morning in the hotel lobby. Lowqui being the veteran tour personality came up with some creative ways to rouse the UK tourist. Firstly was busting into his room with a bucket of ice and a cucumber, and waking him with a chilled cucumber in the ear, EW! The following morning we upped the stakes and busted into his room (the full tour group) with security and a road cone, here commences Lowqui's yodelling- POOR BASTARD! Unfortunately that wasn't the end of the harassment for our Dubstep compadre, in keeping with the theme, on the morning of his flight to Queenstown his bags were filled with cucumbers, made for an interesting check-in experience.

So aside from the fact that 16bit copped all the humiliation for this tour, he also played (to us) the stand out tune of the tour. Get onto Youtube and check out Spooky – Spartan. It destroyed on every night of the tour, big tune!

So the other day we were checking our lunch bills and doing some cross checking with the bank balances. Safe to say there were some stern faces and as much as we love our gourmet lunches; something had to change. Cue a visit to said appliance chain store that permanently has sales on for our new best friend – the TOASTIE MAKER! Every week is exciting now, thinking of delicious flavour combinations. But don't get too excited – patience is required not to burn lips and tongues on searing steam fissures emanating from the fillings that are hotter than the sun for about ten minutes after they have exited the machine. So send us your favourite toastie fillings to our Upbeats Facebook page and we'll send our favourite (after testing) something cool in the mail.

Until next month, stay safe and maybe catch you out on tour!
