Magazines // August 2011 // The 411 in Dudstown with MC Beau
Sup fam,
Hope you are all well. Just quickly as I type this I’m listening to Isaac Aesili’s debut solo album ‘Eye See’. I’ll just say this. It’s good, really good! Go and check it out!
July was a ripper down here in Dunedin. With re-orientation how could it not be! So welcome back students, we missed you and we know you missed us. Big shout out to the great crew of people who came to party with myself and Jimi Fresh at Pop Bar too. Big thank you to the Play Entertainment lads for bringing down Emalkay and Downlink to our fine city. The Espionage lads took care of business and it was good to see a few people sticking around to check out the show despite Uni holidays. Great to see a lot of Christchurch crew coming down for the nightlife recently too. The more the merrier.
The ones like Drop Bass and SBK provided Urban Factory with the UK’s Octane & DLR, Nightcap brought down 16bit, The Upbeats, MC Lowqui, Light Year and DJ Alphabethead. The fun didn’t stop there though. Re Fuel hosted The Adults and Illuminate Paint Party Packed out the Union Hall as only it can. Straight madness I tell you. July was a biggie. Hope your all feeling better. There’s no reason for the great entertainment and nightlife to cease post Re-O week though. August has heaps on offer. We welcome back DJ Marze at Di Lusso with My man DJ Shan, Max Dad E and Munz, The Octagon Rail Jam with the UK’s Audio later that night at Urban Factory will also be a huge event for Dunedin August 20th. Big thanks to the Sound Forge boys for that one.
Myself, Max Dad E and Downtown Brown will be hitting up Wanaka and Queenstown, Glitch master Opiou promises to smash dance floors to pieces at Copa Bar and HQ and care of Dirty ol’ Knights HQ in Wanaka will host the mighty Upbeats too. Sheesh it’s too much to take in I tell you. If you’re planning on hitting the slopes why not check out The Snowpark in Wanaka as they also have some wicked events lined up during the month ahead. In the mean time take care, wrap up warm and I’ll be back next month with a full run down on all the fun and games.
ONE!
Beau.
