Magazines // October 2011 // CD Reviews: Dub Me Crazy
Brand new hot off the EMI press is the latest from long time living bass legend; Bulletproof.
“Dub me Crazy” the hot chart tipping album debuted with a bang and no doubt we will continue to see this album rise in the charts all the way through summer 2012!
Of course the hit single “Dub me crazy” featuring Jessie G, features strong as track 1 of this 16-piece ensemble of freshness. The track itself is a pearla.. Dancefloor attachment and soothing vocals you cant help but get stuck in your head. Jessie isn’t the only colab on the album though.. No sir. BP teams up with the likes of Tiki, Crushington, Computers want me Dead and Hollie Smith to list a few. Album takes more of a commercial spin on dubstep and in my eyes, any one of the tracks could be a charter. Wont be surprised if “If You Fall” gets some serious attention...
I suggest you get the LP version available on iTunes has 9 extra tracks, the video and 6 other videos from the viral campaign. That would be my pick..
Last time we heard from Bulletproof, the album won NZ Electronica Album of the Year 2010, so no doubt I can see this heading down the same path.. and just in time too..
Top work from NZ!
