What can I tell you about the month of October that you wouldn’t already know?
Neon Break Festival is October and October is Neon Break Festival. Now you are probably exhausted after week 1 of the festival but with optimal planning and a bit of resource management you should be in prime shape for the night of the main festival on the 8th of October. With a lineup that features all your favourite artists and more production and side entertainment that you can ever imagine. I doubt if there is a better way to celebrate the start of your term holidays.
Dodge & Fuski headline the Neon Break Festival ‘After Party’ on the 15th of October and this will be no soft closing with the duo taking on their debut show in Auckland.
Now before I get into the topic of what happens for the next half of October, I would like to pass on some very important festival tips. Stay safe, drink plenty of water, take breaks, look after your valuables, bring as little as possible and most of all have fun.
You will probably be left with extreme boredom and post bass syndrome, but this is all normal after 3 exhausting weeks of festival goodness.
Coming up for the 2nd half of October sees Splurge hit Hamilton on October 15th with a ‘Spring Foam Party’. The event is restricted R16 and features the likes of Luke Purcell (Antiform), DJ Alias (Fast Crew) & MC Imagine This.
On the 22nd of October sees the launch of a brand new event in Whangarei - ‘More Bass OI!’ headlined by one of the godfathers of bass music in New Zealand ‘Optimus Gryme’. This has all the right ingredients to make it a good show.
Get out there and enjoy every moment of October because the November issue is all about exams. J/K. Until then, Safe!
