NERO – Welcome Reality
Finally the debut album released on ‘MTA Records’ by the UK duo ‘NERO’! What a hit! It made the UK’s Top 100 albums straight off the bat! It begins with the symphonic ‘2808’, a rather long intro then comes ‘Doomsday’. How could you not love an epic orchestra mixed with dubstep elements? I thought to myself Nero could easily write a soundtrack for Star Wars or Space Odyssey! - F**k John Williams. This new approach taken with their début album is very different from their earlier releases and sounds rather fresh!
My favourite track is ‘Crush on you’, a truly massive remix of ‘The Jets’ 1986 smash hit ‘Crush on you’. I like it a lot that bass-wracked disco sound is mean as. There is of course their godfather tune Innocence and other D-floor bangers like ‘Guilt’ and ‘Me and You’.
It is an awesome album and it is definitely on repeat on my iPod at the moment. Pick it up online at mightyape.co.nz or any good music store.
