Ministry of Sound

Another month and another top lot of news from the Ministry of Sound camp…

First up is the new ‘In The Club 3’ compilation which is a must have for any avid party monster. It might be a little less well known than the Annual or Clubbers guide comps but it certainly packs a punch. The double disc features a vast array of upfront club bangers and some seriously hot remixes. Mixed by none other than Mobin Master and UK legends MYNC project, highlights on the track listing for us would include ‘Benny Benassi – Cinema’ ‘Wolfgang Gartner and Will.I.AM – Forever’ and ‘PNAU – Solid Ground’ But it’s all the exclusive fillers that really make this compilation stand out in between the anthems, from artists like Afrojack, Tommy Trash, Alex Metric, & Wax Motif, that make it a true compilation for those who like to wear their sunglasses as night, so to speak. It’s out now so go grab a copy for your pre-town warm-up stretches today.

Some recent good news is that there will be a classics party held in celebration of the ’10 Years Of The Annual’ compilation released last month, which has held #1 in the dance charts for sometime now in NZ, so you will be able to take a trip down memory lane all night and reminisce your favorite jams of yesteryear in the club as well as at home. Reports are that this is going to be held on Friday 23rd September at the Third and Social, Downtown Britomart with full theming, giveaways of the CD, and a top lineup of old-schoolers dusting off all those classics of yesteryear, so mark that in your diaries now…

Something else to look forward to is Example, of ‘Kickstarts’ and ‘Changed The Way You Kissed Me’ debut album which is due to drop very soon – we’ve heard a sneak preview of the long-player at the Ministry HQ and we can say it will be worth the wait… Trust us!

Last, but definitely not least looking forward is the ‘Clubbers Guide To Spring’ is on its way! Yes that’s right, one of the things to look forward to every year besides longer days and less pairs of socks is this gem of a compilation. Mixed by Goodwill and the lovely Anna Lunoe we can confirm this comp is filled with some of the coolest cuts seen from a MOS CD in a while, everything from The Potbelleez to Crookers, Adele to SBTRKT, Wretch 32 to DJ Fresh, there is something for everyone in this eclectic slice of goodness, the perfect tunes to raise your spirits after this long arduous winter, Rejoice!
