The 411 in dudstown with MC Beau

Hey team,

Another fun filled month has been and gone and I find myself sitting in the Octagon watching scaffolders and snow enthusiasts alike erect the ramps and rails for the Octagon Rail Jam. Big congrats to David Booth and his team, the sponsors and our Dunedin City Council for getting behind this one. More events like this please Dunedin. Although I'm smashing back a hot lemon and honey (ha ha yip pretty gangsta) and feeling a little tired from a massive night playing at Di Lusso with the original DJ Shan (SAS) and Max Dad E... I had so much fun I can't wait to do it all over again tonight at Urban Factory for the Rail Jam after party. Event organizers and locals Sound Forge have out together a huge line up including Audio (UK) With (yours truly), Crushington, Gamble, Downtown Brown, Sound Forge, Fsod, Dirty Ol Knights and many more. Speaking of Dirty Ol Knights I have to send a big shout out to Leon Eru for putting on a great show with the Upbeats and myself in Wanaka this month. Had to be one of the most electric gigs I've done in a while. Genuine good times had by all so thanks

Leon and thank you Wanaka.

I've gotta send some love up to my Welly peeps as well and also thank the MT Eden boys for having me on tour. Shouts out to all those in attendance. Hope you liked the live direction they are taking with their show and the new tracks too. There is no way in he'll I could forget about the freak that is Opiuo either. This man absolutely smashed is NZ tour. Great to see the shows well attended across the country but Dunedin you were superb. It's clear to see the glitch is resignation (like a Daw Tooth baseline) with people down south. Look forward to seeing more acts like Opiuo in the future and make sure you check out his 'Squiggle' EP too.

Just quickly too, I think this may be the first month I've written this article and there isn't enough room to mention everything and everyone's gigs. If you promoted or attended an event this month give yourself a pat in the back and keep up the great work.

There's never any rest for the wicked though, and in September you can guarantee there will be some huge announcements come about as of print time. You can also catch the Dudstown Recording's Mini South Island Tour in Queenstown and Wanaka and cause we love our mates in Central so much myself and Max Dad E will be playing with the laugh a minute Home Brew in Wanaka and QT as well. Which reminds me make sure you check out the new @peace album from Tom and Loui. In the meantime I'm about to head up to the Snowpark with my bros from Sunshine. Hopefully the car ride means some time to check this new Watch The Thrown Album out properly. Maybe I'll check the new Game album too. Here's to a great August and an even better September people. Stay safe and I hope I'll see you on a dance floor somewhere soon. One!

Beau.

Well its end of an era. That's right, the home of Auckland dnb and dubstep for over 10 years is coming to a close. But »
